What I learned in life, I learned in PERSEF..

PERSEF welcomes me at my stay in DLSU..

that is the phrase that i can accomodate with our subject PERSEF.. there are a lot of thing i learned when this subject starts.. like in highschool, our homeroom class serves as our PERSEF now.. during those homeroom days, a lot of activities helps us to develop ourselves in different ways.. though sometimes we said that its boring or its useless. deep inside our hearts and minds, we truly think that it can help us develop our attitude.. simple activities has a big *bang on our minds.. a lot of activities that helps us express ourselves is somehow a release of stress in our different problems and a release of what we want to show to others..

in how many weeks of our sessions in persef there are two things that i cant forget.. it is not only because it is my favorite it is also because it has something to do to me that changed me.. one of the session is about making our own album.. why? it is because i have a passion for music.. i love to sing, i love to listen to music.. it relaxes my hot and bothered mind.. it is truly relief for me..

upon making the album, that is the line that enters and live my mind starting that day.. the other session that i always remember and the most important for me is the 2 session of surveys about career and about achieving goals in life.. upon looking my old blog post, i really didn't like the course.. as sir raffy handed us around 3 surveys about career.. all results ended into a conclusion.. it is not the right course me.. the results of the surveys are all the same if it had a mouth it will shout and me and tell me to shift.. it doesnt matter though.. i wont let my passion overcome want my parents want me to be.. they are the reason why i survive and why i am studying at DLSU.. all this time they are always granting my wishes and now? for just a wish i cant make it for them? that i why im choosing to continue this course.. no matterwhat happens.. ill do my best..

there are a lot of thing i learned from all thi session.. i learned that life isn't about finding yourself. life is about creating yourself.. you can't find life by other people or by the help of others.. it is you who will create your own life.. your own persistent.. your own mission.. and your own perspective..

during practices, im not a good leader because i am not that strict and also i am the one who is always late and tolerating my members..

our leader is so bad that it cause to our fight and not understanding each other because of his attitude..

during the making of the project, me and the other members cannot work properly because of his attitude.. he always dictate and dictate but not making a move on his own.. thats why we haven't done our project easily and accurately..



LIST OF WHAT I NEED TO IMPROVE:
* my attitude as a leader is not truly a characteristics of a good leader.. i may have a lot of ideas or great in leading but my own attitude is not that good..
*i need to be more strict because sometimes other members just ignore me and take me for granted..
*dont be late!!
*as a member i think the only thing i need to improve is my attitude towards the leader if they are too dictator.. i need to understand him/her but not let me be under..
*to respect the leader's decision and not always be the devil's advocate..

i have a lot i dreams.. i have a lot of things i want to accomplish and want to do.. i want to explore everything that can support my knowledge and help me as a person..

my mom ask me when i was a child.. i cannot remember the specific answer or rather i didn.t gave one.. i dont have any desired course when i was a child.. but when i reached second year highschool, every desire sink in to my mind..

i want to be a doctor.. (not a chance.. im afraid of BLOOD!)

i want to be an architect.. (i dont have patience on those lines and circles.. hahah!!)

i want to be a lawyer.. (the victim is guilty! i dont want a long term study course.. haha..)

i want to be a director..

since second year it is always my desire to be a director or anything related to those things like writing scripts, and a lot more.. it is what i truly love.. my passion.. since that time.. i always make stories at the back page of my mathematics notebook, invent different kinds of scripts wishing that someday it will be chosen for a movie, and even to the point that watching a lot of movies to have a lot of ideas in that industry.. in every project, activity, programs, presentations that needed script or someone to lead or direct.. i was always assigned.. those things help in fixing my mind to choose a course related to those things.. since second year every script i made was used and congatulated.. that is when my passion starts..

i like ICTM, but i love DIRECTING..

i choose ICTM because of others decision.. i didnt totally hate it because i also love computers.. but how can you give a 100% to someone you dont love? how can you enjoy it?

on what i am saying, you will surely think that i will shift course..

sorry but no.. i can do my my chosen career even with this course.. thought it is not actually related, it is not important.. if you truly love what you are doing.. it will stay with you..

my chosen career is directing but it is not the path im taking for now..

only for now.. like sir raffy said.. career is the one that stays with you.. the one that you will bring for the rest of your life..

what do i want to be?

what career will i take?

what will be my profession after i graduate?

this are just some thoughts in my mind because i am not that sure if i will be an I.T. professional.. its not that i dont want it but there is still a certain something i want more rather that being a professional in this field..

i interview a professional who is a massmedia student before graduated at a prestigous school and know a known director of several movies here in the philippines.. the interview process was just via chat because he was highly busy..

WHAT IS THE NATURE OF YOUR JOB?
we make movies and serve the people a deluxe entertainment. as a director, walang tinuturing na pinangalingan o pinagmulan ung trabahong ito.. actually i do not treat this as a job.. i treat this as a hobby or a way to express what i truly what.. isang bagay na ginugusto.. hindi trinatrabaho.. same as other jobs or profession.. you will not survive if you will not like it or learn to like it..

*DAILY TASK
daily task is not always maintained because movies are seldom made.. but when the taping starts, 24 hours gumagalaw, di lang ako kundi lahat ng kasama sa production..

*AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
as the director, ako ang nagpapanatili sa right flow ng movie.. di talaga sa akin naka focus ang lahat ng bagay pero pano nagawa ang kakaibang mga angles ng camera, mga experimentations sa mga roles and settings.. yun yun mga hinahandle ko.. syempre halos ang buong production ang linelead ko..

WHAT ARE YOUR SKILLS/INTEREST THAT MAKE YOU CHOOSE YOUR JOB?
when i was still in my schooling days, skills such as leading a group, preparing a play for a school competitions and different things that shows my interest in this field.. my interest in movie making shows as early as when i was still a child.. i always enjoying movies and plays that has unique and mysterious stories..

lahat ng ayaw ko, ginugusto ko.. ganon ko kagusto yung trabaho ko.. eventhough there are a lot of challenges and difficulties, it is no match for me..

REFLECTION..
almost all of my blockmates inteviewed a professional in comsci, com.eng., i.t., and other related profession to our courze.. some of my friends who knew who i interviewed were shock because they dont expected that i want to be a director.. but it is alright for me that i am different to them.. all i know is.. the main reason for this activity is that to know what the career i choose will do for me.. and what will i be in the future.. eventhogh my desire for now is directing, who knows? that i may be a good IT professional in the near future..

can this be love?

On this period we discuss and talk about LOVE in a different way.. in a form fo a DEBATE.. sir raffy separated the girls and the boys to see the different point of vies of a girl and also of the guys.. sir raffy prepared a lot of questions that makes the people shout and argue with each other.. it was really a fun experience because we guys can get to understand the girls feelings during a certain situation or prblems and also for the girls, they can understand what a guy really think knowing that guys are more secretive and quiet..

issues about teenage love..

what is the real deal with teenage love? why a lot suffers in different problems about love?

is teenage love real and true? or just an infatuation and eagerness to feel how it feels?

'you dont know how we feel..'

i read a column about teenage love before and this line sticks into my mind.. a line that almost teenagers told to someone older or to someone who judges thier love.. a lot of adults or those who told themselves experienced lovers do not really believe on what they call puppy love.. (teenage love for me..) almost all of them concluded that this is just nothing compared to what are we going to face for the next few years.. there will be more love trials for us and this kind of love is just nothing.. a source of knowledge so that one has already experienced it.. just nothing..

it is what they think..

but not for us..

i stand for the teenagers like me that they truly dont know how we feel.. love for me is not determined by the age or by different aspects.. true love can be determined if a person knows how to think and knows how to open his/her heart.. age is not a basis for this things.. it is the way you think that helps develop your true experienced about love.. there are a lot of things that old folks never experienced the way we experienced love.. on their time, there is a different treatment of love.. a certain age, a certain guarantees, and a lot more "laws".. but now in the modern generations there is a lot more challenge for us teenagers, knowing that some or almost of us experienced it. we all have knowledges about it.. if before there are full of guarantees or laws, now, it i different.. full of risks and problems.. risks and problems that build a person as early as a teenager.. developing his/her aspects in love as early as now.. so who do you think is more experienced huh?

what are the proper and improper behavior of a lasallian?

one of our assignment in persef is to observe a certain area in the campus and list down the improper and proper behavior of different studends.. each of the members of the group was designated to a certain place.. i was assigned in the library..

PROPER:

_scanning of ID's upon entering the library.. one of the rules and regulations is to scan the ID so that the administration will know whether he/she goes in..

_living of baggage in the counter.. this is to prevent the stealing of books..

_not eating inside.. each and everyone follow this rules..

IMPROPER:

_noise!! some students go to the library just to standby and relax with their friends. because they enter as a group, this let them talk to each other and chitchat loudly until they can be noticed..

4th yr HS 16-graduated highschool (one of the best things in a persons life is HS! HAHAHA!)

26 to 30-have a family..
75-died because of no reason but fell asleep.. (so that i cannot feel no pain at the last days of my life on earth..)

MY LASALLIAN SYMBOL..



one of our activites is making a symbol out of the material clay.. we must make a symbol about being a lasallian and can also be related to us.. i have no exact title on the picture above.. my explaination with the picture is simply.. "unity"..

for me.. this image shows my friends and myself.. i treasure friendship very much.. they are my backbone during times of hapiness, and problems.. my bestest friends are always there..(though not physically) even though we seldom see each other because we belong in different universities, we still make sure that our communication will not be lessen.. infact, it will be improved because we miss each other often.. you cannot judge friendship by the times you are with each other.. but it is measured by how you give importance to one another and how you treasure that friendship..

as a lasallian.. UNITY is the main key for everything we do.. all of us lasallian must unite for the pride of our school.. eventhough we have several colleges, different orgs, different blocks, and different characteristics.. we still live in one lasallian community.. so the main source in maintaining this community is by being unite without any boundaries..

vhin for short.. hehe.. born at the promise land davao city on october 23, 1991 then grew up here at manila.. i came from the school san sebastian college during highschool and several schools when i was in elementary.. now, at my college life, i am a proud la sallian but a 'frustrated atenista'.. haha.. bad ko.. it is really the truth.. but ok lang.. la salle was a very good university for me.. though dlsu campus is far, walking a hundred steps from recto station to doroteo jose station every morning then vice versa every afternoon.. waah... a good exercise to start and end the day.. honestly i didn't really love or choose this course BS-ICTM.. i have different ambition too far from this course, but because of my parents and relatives suggestions, i entere De Lasalle campus.. going to the college of computer studies..

1st impression..

hmm...

some(or maybe a lot) people told me that thier first impression to me was "tahimik" and "masungit".. waa.. never thought of saying that when you get to know me better.. for me.. and for those who know me better.. im a very crazy, friendly, and mysterious(some of my friends are saying this) person.. mysterious such that my attitude differs in every day life.. sometimes not daily.. but every minute.. hehe! (sounds confusing huh?) in short moody.. but not really moody.. i dont know? heheh.. me myself can't also understand what my attitude really is..

i dont care what other people say about me.. thats my perspective.. i have my own life so i dont care if my existence for them is bad.. so do i.. to those person who feel that.. but i can also be a very good friend or a bestfriend.. i can help you anytime with advices and im just a text or call away to persons who value me as thier friends..

i can solve my problems alone.. that's my strenght, i hate relying on someone to solve my own problem for me.. but, i can help you solve your problems with my advices.. as my friends often told me

i just told them that it is just my attitude.. then they just understand me for who i am..

the introduction starst at the back.. haha.. and i seated luckily 3rd chair from the first person.. its very difficult for me on what object will i choose beacuse there are a lot of things in my mind.. first is a computer, a pillow, a phone, and a lot more.. but finally after several minutes.. im the next person stand up.. from that question.. i just answered..

"i want to be a house.."

then the class asked. "why?"

then i just said that "so that i can shelter you in times of rain and in times of heat from all your problems.." from that i answer.. i just realized that the object i am thinking of is only a house.. though severl things came up to my mind.. the right object for me is the house because it matches my personality and it is really what can i do for the others who are special and important for me..

that was my first question when i browse my EAF for our next class in the afternoon.. i really dont know what it means.. then i derived to different conclusions.. can this be a Physical Education subject? i dont think so.. then the word person comes to my mind.. after thinking and began being confused.. i just ignore it then just wait till the subject starts..

hours later a friend from other block told me this..

'tol parang homeroom lang yan nung highschool pa tayo..'

then i just think for a moment then laugh.. the first thing that comes to my mind is why do we need this kind of subject? will this help us to be an I.T. professional? i dont think so..

2:40 pm.. wednesday.. first meeting in persef.. the weather is fine as well as our moods.. all of us were aware that persef means PERSONAL EFFECTIVENESS for froshies.. almost all of us have the same impression that this is like our homeroom class before.. not until the teacher arrives.. all of us greet sir raffy then seated.. we start by getting to know ourselves.. after sir raffy's introduction, we introduce ourselves one by one and answer several questions.....

after the long getting to know stage.. our prof told us about persef.. persef for me (from what he told us) is a subject that help us student to bulid a good character while we stay here at de lasalle and also few more years after we graduate.. it is subject most especially for me, for them, for us.. a subject that will help us to get to know ourselves more and others as well.. though it sounds like a homeroom class.. this time its different.. this subject is for our attitude for the future,, our way of treating and respecting others well.. and also, for us to get along with our blockmates more..

by the different activities.. im sure that our character will enhance as we take this subject..
